Natural Building Events: Earthed New Cob and Natural Building Workshops for 2007 Earthed will be running a series of cob workshops at Broadhembury in Devon during the months of June/July and September 2007. These will include: 7 day basics of cob workshop to build a garden sanctuary space (3rd-9th June 2007 £495/ £450 concession, including food and camping) Weekend cob oven workshop (16th-17th June and 15th-16th September 2007 £180/ £140 concession, including food and camping) 4 day Pyromania Workshop looking at both Rumford fireplaces and rocket stove designs (20th-23rd September 2007 £295/ £250 concessions including food and camping). 4 day Natural Plasters & Finishes Workshop looking at a range of finishes including lime & earth plasters & earthen floors 28th September - 1st October 2007 £295/ 250 concessions, including food and camping) 5 day Roundpole Timber Frame Workshop (July 2007 exact days t.b.c £495/ £450 concession, including food and camping). 7 day Introduction to Natural Building Workshop (2nd-8th September 2007 £495/ £450 concession, including food and camping) Located in the heart of 'cob country' this 4 acre site is situated in the stunning landscape of the Blackdown Hills in Devon a stone throw away from the historic and picturesque thatch and cob village of Broadhembury, dating from the late 16th and early 17th century. The area is awash with fantastic examples of traditional cob barns and houses, we will be taking a 'cob tour' at some stage during the workshops.
